University of South Carolina Reviews

Rating 5 out of 5
University of South Carolina has so much to offer its incoming classes. Whether it is free tuition if you are an SC resident graduating in the top 10% of their class to hot cookie Fridays at Capstone House. I personally am part of their expansive first-generation program, Opportunity Scholars, that allows me to get specialized classes and advisors geared towards making first-gen students successful beyond their bachelor’s. UofSC loves their students and wants them to be successful. They have classes ranging from 8 am to 10 pm to fit any scheduling accommodations needed. Besides academics, UofSC is ranked number 1 in first year experience, and for good reason. The social aspect and event coordination within this university is amazing. With a growing greek life to lettuce club, everyone has a place to fit in here. Being an SEC school, football games are huge, and at Williams Brice Stadium students get to experience it for free with ticket lotteries. UofSC is great!

Coming from a smaller school like Coastal Carolina University, I really like and appreciate the cityscape aspect of USC here in Columbia, SC. The change from a somewhat rural area to the biggest city in South Carolina has been a noticeable, yet, welcomed change. I have very much so been enjoying my time up here and I cannot wait to experience even more of what this city has to offer!

I met life long friends, had wonderful experiences, learned life lessons inside and outside the classroom that made me better mentally, physically, and emotionally. My 4 years spent at Carolina truly prepared me for the professional world and future in the best way possible!
